St. George Episcopal Church

Our Mission Statement:

“Love God... Love your Neighbor...

Change the World.”

Saint George Episcopal Church

is a diverse and inclusive

family of faith in Maple Valley;

a welcoming congregation

honoring the best in Protestant, Catholic and Orthodox traditions.

Our Labyrinth

On our property this is a labyrinth available every day

for quite mediation walks.

In the silence we listen for God's voice.

Walking a Labyrinth is an ancient form of meditative prayer

that involves moving through a series of circular pathways

leading to a center.

It can be a metaphor for a spiritual journey

or one's journey through life.

You are invited.

Located in the back of our property,

right off the Lake Wilderness Trail,

it is a great place to be at peace and find renewal.

In the beginning...

St. George's first service was held in what was originally the Sutte Homestead,

built in 1896.

The home, located one mile east of Ravensdale was purchased in 1944

by George & Eva Litras

(one of the founding families of St. George).

Over 50 years later...

We have grown

in size and love

and have welcomed hundreds

of people who have traveled through our door.

The next steps...

We are dreaming of and planning for a new building

that can more fully accommodate our

growing church family.
